What People's Say About Place

I dined at lunch today with my Papa, who'd heard from a friend that El Paseo on 199 has delicious chili rellenos. We had to go check out El Paseo at 1pm on Thursday December 18. With the holidays, it a busy with lunch rush with guests celebrating Holidays. Our amazing waiter Aldo cheerfully took our order & returned quickly with our drinks. The cheese chilli Relleno meal and carne guisada lunch plate were delicious. The food is fresh, well seasoned with large portions. Love the beautiful, large building with tons of seatings in several different dining rooms. We will be back to try your margaritas & fajitas next time!!

Excellent service! My sister even got sung to by Mr Juan for her Birthday . They have good sopapillas and the chicken in my taco salad was delicious as well as the shell as it was perfectly puffy. I think the chips were the only thing I didnt like .. mezcales has those beat. But they do have bigger portions here. And the environment was comfy.

I’m not too fond on Mexican food, but this place was exceptional. I always judge a Mex. restaurant on the chips and salsa , and the chips were amazing! I shared a plate of Combo Fajitas and only ate 1 taco. Not to say they weren’t good but the beans were great! Didn’t care for the rice, (too much comino for me). My server, Alvaro was very pleasant and attentive. We finished off with the cheesecake chimichangas, and they topped off the meal! Kids loved it, so we will definitely come back to try something different!

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly smiles and that delicious aroma of sizzling fajitas that instantly makes you hungry. The atmosphere perfect for a night out with friends or family. We started with the chips and salsa, and let me tell you, they were fresh, warm, and perfectly salted. The salsa had just the right kick of spice without overpowering the flavor. For the main course, I had El Pollo a la Mexicana with rice and beans, and everything was cooked to perfection. It was rich and flavorful, and the portions were generous. My table also tried the Beef/Shrimp Fajitas and Chile Relleno and everyone was raving about how tender and well-seasoned the meat was. The service was excellent and our drinks were always refilled before we even had to ask. Overall, this place nails everything you’d want from a Tex-Mex spot: great food, great vibes, and great people. I’ll definitely be coming back again soon!

Service was outstanding. Restaurant staff very. I had the chicken fajitas. The chicken became cold before I finished. I know something was up when the waiter brought me my food and I did hear the meat sizzling in the cast-iron skillet. Enjoyed the chips and salsa. I like the fact that I was given two bowls of salsa instead of just one. That way I didn’t have to ask for more. Very clean and very nicely decorated. I will give it a second try.

Great family friendly restaurant. Nice sized portions and very tasty food.

Fast service. Taco meat was a bit cold but I did like it wasn’t salty at all . Flour tortilla was OK beans and rice were Nice and warm. Wasn’t a fan of chips and salsa. . BUT Service was great WAS nice new ceiling but only 1-fan in the center of the restaurant BECAUSE stared get I little warm with crowd. no music playing except for the in kitchen. Very busy a little bit loud, but was OK overall experience. Heard a lot regulars in the background friendly older environment. They do runs specials on certain days.

I'm going to start by saying that this review would have gotten 3 stars but our waitress Michelle was amazing so it bumped it up a star. Pros: -The service was amazing (Michelle), food came out quick, and we always had chips, salsa, and water. - good atmosphere - large variety on the menu -affordable -the food was mostly very good. I loved their chips and salsa -again, the service was awesome so I need to mention that again. Cons: -we ordered two steak a La Mexicana meals and for some reason one was cooked different than the other. Mine was more "boiled" texture and the other was more charred (grilled) flavor. The inconsistency was weird there. -Shrimp quesadilla had a lot of cheese. Even for someone who likes cheese there was a lot of cheese. -Flautas were really really burnt on the ends but the inside was delicious. -Verde sauce tasted too earthy for me. Overall, I would come here again but saying it's the best Mexican food I've ever had would be a stretch. But I loved the atmosphere, service, and the food was pretty good.
